DAP Diammonium Phosphate (NH4)2HPO4 The Ultimate Fertilizer for PH Value 7.8-8.2 and Low Insoluble Content
Product Description:
Diammonium hydrogen phosphate, also known as diammonium phosphate and commonly abbreviated as DAP, is observed in the form of colorless transparent monoclinic crystals or a white powder.
It possesses a relative density of 1.619 and a melting point of 190℃. The compound exhibits high solubility in water, resulting in an alkaline aqueous solution. A 1% aqueous solution of DAP has a pH of 8.0, while a solution with a concentration of 0.1 mol/L registers a pH of 7.8.
Contrarily, DAP is not soluble in alcohol or dimethyl ketone. Upon exposure to air, the compound gradually loses approximately 8% of its ammonia content and transforms into ammonium dihydrogen phosphate. It also undergoes a reaction with ammonia water, leading to the formation of triammonium phosphate.
Features:
High-Efficiency Nitrogen-Phosphorus Compound Fertilizer: This compound fertilizer contains 21% nitrogen and 53% phosphorus content, providing plants with water-soluble phosphorus and ammonium nitrogen. It is high in purity (more than 98%), completely soluble in water, and can be rapidly absorbed by plants.
Benefits: This fertilizer is free of substances harmful to crops, making it suitable for foliar spraying and drip irrigation. It has a pH value between 7.8 and 8.2, which effectively helps regulate the pH balance of both soil and plant physiological cells.

Applications:
Industrial-grade diammonium hydrogen phosphate (DAP) is utilized in various industries as a fire retardant for textiles, wood, and paper. Additionally, it is used as an additive in fire-resistant coatings to enhance their effectiveness.
Within the agricultural sector, DAP serves as a highly efficient nitrogen-phosphorus compound fertilizer that is free of chlorine. It has the ability to dissolve quickly in water, promoting easy absorption by crops. Its slightly alkaline properties make it particularly effective in improving acidic soils.
It finds extensive application in growing a diverse range of fruits, vegetables, fruit trees, and cash crops, delivering significant economic advantages. It is suitable for use in various soil conditions.
Application Recommendations:
- Base fertilizer application: 10-20kg/mu.
- Drip irrigation application: 5-10kg/mu, 2-3 times, with an interval of 10-15 days.
- Foliar application: 0.5-1.0 kg/mu, 2-5 times, with an interval of 7-10 days.
