Product Description:
Industrial-grade monoammonium phosphate, also known as ammonium dihydrogen phosphate (abbreviated as TMAP), has the chemical formula NH4H2PO4 and a molecular weight of 115.03. This material is typically found in the form of a white powder or granular substance. Granular products have high particle compressive strength. The substance has a melting point of 190℃, a density of 1.803 at 18℃, and a solubility of 41.6 g/100g at 25℃. In a 1% aqueous solution, the pH is 4.5.
It is easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, and insoluble in dimethyl ketone. At room temperature, it remains stable and does not exhibit redox properties. Moreover, it does not combust or explode when subjected to high temperatures, acids, alkalis, or redox substances. The material shows good solubility in water and acids, and the powdered form is somewhat hygroscopic.
Furthermore, it possesses exceptional thermal stability and dehydrates at elevated temperatures to create viscous chain compounds like ammonium pyrophosphate, ammonium polyphosphate, and ammonium metaphosphate.
Applications:
In industry, ammonium phosphate is primarily utilized as a fire-prevention agent for fabric, timber, and paper. It is also used as a fire-prevention coating and dry powder for fire extinguisher applications.
In agriculture, ammonium phosphate serves as a highly effective non-chloride N, P compound fertilizer. It is a total water-soluble, high-effective drip irrigation fertilizer that can be applied to various food crops and economic crops. The total nourishment content (N+P2O5 ) of this fertilizer is at 73%, making it a suitable raw material for N, P, and K compound fertilizer formulations.
