Product Description:
Industrial-grade monoammonium phosphate, known by the Chinese alias ammonium dihydrogen phosphate and commonly referred to as TMAP, has the chemical formula NH4H2PO4 and a molecular weight of 115.03. This substance is typically found in the form of a white powder or granular material, with granular products boasting high particle compressive strength. It has a melting point of 190℃, a density of 1.803 at 18℃, and a solubility of 41.6 g/100g at 25℃. The pH of a 1% aqueous solution is 4.5.
Monoammonium phosphate is highly soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, and insoluble in dimethyl ketone. It remains stable at room temperature, does not exhibit redox properties, and does not combust or explode when exposed to high temperatures, acids, alkalis, or redox substances. The substance shows good solubility in water and acids, although the powdered form is somewhat hygroscopic. Furthermore, it boasts excellent thermal stability and dehydrates at elevated temperatures to produce viscous chain compounds like ammonium pyrophosphate, ammonium polyphosphate, and ammonium metaphosphate.
Applications:
In industry, ammonium phosphate is primarily utilized as a fire-prevention agent for fabric, timber, and paper. It is also commonly used as a fire-prevention coating and as dry powder for fire extinguishers.
In agriculture, ammonium phosphate serves as a highly effective non-chloride N, P compound fertilizer. It is completely water-soluble, making it an efficient drip irrigation fertilizer. Suitable for a wide range of food crops and cash crops, its total nutrient content (N+P2O5 ) is 73%. Additionally, it can be employed as a key raw material for N, P, and K compound fertilizers.
