Potassium dihydrogen phosphate, also known as Monopotassium phosphate and abbreviated as MKP, has the chemical formula KH ₂ PO ₄ . It presents as white crystals or a white powder, with no discernible odor, and is stable in air. The relative density of MKP is 2.338, with a melting point of 96℃. Upon losing water at 400℃, it transforms into potassium pyrophosphate.

MKP readily dissolves in water but is insoluble in ethanol. Its aqueous solution exhibits acidity, with a pH range of 4.4 to 4.7.

It is suitable for root fertilization and foliar spraying, which is recommended to use at the beginning of the growing and fruit season when phosphorus and potash availability is crucial for the establishment of root systems.
