The alias for Calcium hydrogen phosphate is Dicalcium Phosphate (DCP) . It has a molecular formula of CaHPO4.2H2O and a molecular weight of 172.10.
Solubility and Properties:
Dicalcium Phosphate is easily soluble in dilute Hydrochloric Acid, dilute Nitric Acid, and Acetic Acid. It is low soluble in water and insoluble in alcohol. With low moisture absorption, this compound begins to lose its crystal water at 90 degrees Celsius and converts to calcium pyrophosphate above 400 degrees Celsius.

Applications:
Feeding Grade DCP is utilized to provide mineral nutrition such as phosphorus and calcium which are easily digestible and absorbed by animals. This can promote faster growth in animals, shorten the fattening period, and enhance weight gain, breeding rate, and survival rate. Additionally, it contributes to improving animals' resistance to diseases like rickets, dysentery, and palsy.
There are two variants of Feed Grade DCP available: one with a Phosphorus content of 17% and the other with 18%. These are produced as powder and granular forms, with the Granular DCP created from Powder DCP through machine-pressing without the use of any caking agent. The granular form features reduced powder content, leading to better working conditions and decreased product loss. Moreover, it facilitates better absorption by remaining in the animal's stomach for a longer duration.
